one week old news
Houston was THE BEST! Coming back.. was the worst =X

My sister Lan and I left New Orleans right after she got off of work Saturday afternoon around five. We drove and drove to Lake Charles to pick up James (Lan's friend's brother) then left to Houston.
- Sinh Sinh with Lien&Vu, Margaret&James.. two hours ago, Chih was there!
- home, sleep.

In the morning, we were debating over where to eat for breakfast.. which turned into brunch.. then into lunch.
- Finally, Dim sum at Kim Son.. sat at the little neighboring table next to the LARGE one with table legs everywhere. Recognized Mai and someone very UGLY.
- Went to see LIEN&VU'S NEW HOUSE! =D went through the back and got mud on our shoes and feet. Lien and Vu had to inspect their house before signing the contract to buy it, so they stayed back to measure and make sure everything was okay.
- Went to the Hong Kong place in Margaret's car. Bought a hot water heater for our neighbor and MET UP WITH CHIH! :D Ordered some tapiocas then..
- Off to the bakery across the street. Sausage lookin' POO.
- GALLERIA =) no ice-skating because of a concert event =( RUSH shopping!
- dropped Chih off at Hong Kong. Thanks for the present punk :]
- Margaret's apartment where Lien&Vu met us to go eat dinner at Macaroni Grill.
- Home, play with big boy Kolache! then Sleep

Monday morning, Lien and Margaret had work.
- Vu, Lan and I went out to eat at Tai Chi then went through a walk-through of the new house. TWO HOURS! Marked every flaw we saw. the fricken man was being fricken stingy with the blue tape >=[ he was a blabber-mouth.
- Picked up James then headed to the Galleria. Shopped until we stopped =P Lien and Margaret met up with us at the mall. Ate Chick-fil-A and Chinese food with THREE Cheesecakes!
- We ... went ... i....c.....e SKATING! =D Tremendous amounts of Fun. Margaret danced while we were skating... funny! We played IT and no one could catch me because i was a fricken beast.. oh yes! =) hahha Took pictures with the HUGEST CHRISTMAS TREE I've ever seen! I FINALLY FELL on the ice! .. about 3 times :] the last time i fell, i cut my finger while trying to stand up but it's just a little cut. Towards the end of the skating, a little girl fell or something.. and there was a big gash in her hand! Blood was everywhere! This happened at the opposite side of the Exit, so the poor little girl had to skate slowly and carefully all the way to the exit. As she skated, blood from her hand was dripping onto the ice skating rink. Poor girl... i hope she's okay.
- left the mall. Margaret and James hopped in the Lan's car. H.E.B. where Lan was so stunned at all the professional salon hair products and CHI irons and O.P.I. NAIL POLISH. We bought cookies and milk =)
- Went back to the mall parking lot to drop off Margaret. Margaret drove to her apartment and we followed. At the check-in, Margaret told the dude we were stalking her =P Baked the cookies and watched TV while drinking milk :) Napped
- raced home before Lien&Vu went to sleep, then fell right asleep

Tuesday (the day we leave Houston)
- Pho for breakfast.. GOOOOD
- Baybrooke Mall
- Dog Park
- Sushi Resturant

We ate SO much and we did SO much. I had SO much fun. i LOVE going on trips with Lan. She likes to do everything she can in the limited time that she has. I feel like I gained a few pounds from just those few days. I don't recall ever eating at home this whole trip =) At least we didn't have any nasty food. Thanks Lien, Vu and Margaret!

a week from today (wednesday), i was in a car accident
THE RIDE BACK TO NEW ORLEANS

Here's the situation:
After sushi, Lan and I followed Margaret and James to Lake Charles. We slept there that night and headed back to New Orleans at 5:30 AM. We planned to leave at the same time Margaret, James, their brother and his girlfriend would leave to New Orleans, but Lan had work at 10:00, so we left early. I fell asleep while Lan drove. Lan was driving along the I-10 (a two lane highway with both lanes going the same direction) head to head with an 18-wheeler. She intended to pass up the truck, but she noticed it started getting into her lane. We were in the right lane, he was in the left lane. To get out of the way, she sped up getting into the right shoulder. As we were about to pass up the truck, he speeds up not knowing we're in his way (we were in his blind spot). He bumps our the left bumper of our car and the car goes outta control--at this point, the truck is in the right lane. Our car goes perpendicular to his truck. We are now in front of his truck, but sideways. The 18-wheeler hits us again on my side of the car. The grill of the truck is right in front of my window. The truck pushes us down the interstate for what seemed like a long time. During this whole accident, I'm sleeping. My head is on a pillow which is resting on the window where the 18-wheeler's front of the truck hits us. I wake up to the call of Lan's screaming my name and not to the collision. =X Finally the car stops and we rush out the car calling 911 of course. Lan's crying hysterically. The highway was full of cars, but no one stops as a witness of the accident. Lan and I came out of an accident with an 18-wheeler without any scratches, but Lan has a huge bruise on her right knee and we are sore/aching. We were so lucky everyone kept saying =) Everything could've happened so much worse and I'm thankful that it didn't. There was a nice lady who stopped to see if we needed a cell phone. One Vietnamese couple stopped to help us. They offered us a ride back to New Orleans because they were also heading that way. Not everyone in this world is careless :] Lan's friends from Lake Charles picked us up on the way going to New Orleans. We ate Chinese food in Kenner then went home. We went straight to the hospital to get a check-up. I was so curious in knowing about everything about the hospital :)

I'm reading a lot now-a-days. I read TWO books this week =) and I'm on my third one right now. School's going pretty good. I'm bringing up my grades. I have a social studies fair project due Monday of next week. It's worth 250 points!
I can't wait till Christmas break.  TWO and A HALF weeks off babyyy. WOO! =D i <3 Christmas. Hopefully I get to go on a trip somewhere. If i don't, the break will be pretty boring. I've already started buying Christmas gifts. =) This year, my goal is to send off out-of-state gifts. I end up buying my friends gifts, but I never send them off because I'm too lazy.
